Maria is an illustrator and artist specializing in illustration, mindful creativity, and art experiences inspired by nature, diverse cultures, the human figure, animals, and emotional well-being.

Born in Latin America, she spent 14 years living in Europe and currently resides in Australia. This multicultural journey has given her a unique perspective that enriches her creative work and inspires meaningful connections across cultures.

She has collaborated with international companies and is the author and illustrator of several books and creative publications. Her work blends artistic expression with a deep appreciation for mindfulness, cultural diversity, human connection, and the natural world.

"My current body of work is the result of years of artistic exploration and the ongoing development of a distinctive visual language.
Rooted in a search for harmony and balance, my practice combines organic forms with the underlying structure of composition. While each piece begins with intention, the creative process gradually unfolds into a more intuitive and meditative exploration, allowing the work to evolve naturally.
I am fascinated by the meeting point between order and freedom, where geometry and spontaneity coexist. Through layers of lines, patterns, and forms, I create images that invite both immediate appreciation and deeper contemplation, revealing new details over time.
Mindfulness plays an essential role in my creative process. Each mark is made with presence and attention, transforming the act of drawing into a quiet dialogue between observation, intuition, and creation. My goal is to create artworks that evoke a sense of connection, curiosity, and visual discovery."
