There is No Spoon
What if one day you discovered that time is not something you have, but something you can create?

As a mother, I am on duty 24 hours a day, and for years I kept telling myself that I didn’t have time to make art. One day, while caring for my second baby, I absentmindedly doodled a mandala—the first one I had ever created in my life. Time seemed to stop, and I began to breathe differently.

The priorities in my life shifted. Things that once felt urgent suddenly moved much lower on my to-do list.

I realized how deeply I needed these moments of creation—how much they nourished me, the magic they released, and the way they brought me back to the present moment.

I created this piece one month after discovering the meditative art of mandala drawing. I felt there was no turning back.

Today, I am peace. Time is infinite when we learn how to create it.

Medium: Indian ink pen and watercolours on Bristol paper.
